In 2006, at long last, the Donegal Doom ended their title drought, proudly raising their first FAUX championship banner. Their historic season included a franchise-best 11-3 mark in the regular season and #2 berth in the playoffs. Originally founded as the Riverdale Ramblin' Rathmans, the team was frustrated early, suffering through four different 6-win seasons and bottoming out with an abysmal 4-10 record (1995). But perseverence paid off for the Doom as they struggled above the mediocrity in which they'd been constantly mired. They won their first division title (Mind Division) in 1996, their seventh season. In 1997, they became the Donegal Doom as a tribute to owner Joe's late father, Dr. Michael McFadden. Since their relocation, the team has set high standards of success, including back-to-back-to-back division titles in 2004 through 2006, capped off by their FAUX Bowl XVII victory over the Whiskeytown Wharfrats. In 2004 earned their 100th franchise victory (106 wins), raising the franchise winning percentage above .500 (.512) for the first time ever. In 2007, the defending champs, intoxicated by their success, stumbled to a 6-8 mark, their first sub-.500 season since 1998.
