Yuba City joined the FAUX Football league for the 1995 season. Like many FAUX teams, the Yuba City Wannabees were quick out of the gates, enjoying a 9-5 record as an expansion club, and narrowly missing the playoffs. But maintaining their initial success proved difficult for the Bees, as Yuba City eventually stumbled to 3-11 (1997) and 4-10 (1998) records. Apparently a new millenium team, the club has had only three losing seasons since 1999, including a 6-7-1 mark in 2005. During this stretch, Yuba City recorded their first two 10-win seasons, in 2002 and 2004, going 10-4 in both campaigns. 2002's success led to the club's first ever postseason appearance, followed quickly by their second after the 2004 season. The Yuba City Wannabees, 10-year league members, are unusual in having remained in the same location, with the same mascot, throughout their existence. In 2007, the WannaBees posted a 9-5 record to secure the Bacon Division title, a franchise first. The team earned their third playoff berth in the process and won FAUX Bowl XVIII convincingly to win their first franchise championship.
